Muotioikeuden yhdistys ry:n julistaa stipendit haettavaksi

Muotioikeuden yhdistys ry myöntää vuosittain yhden tai useamman tutkielmastipendin ansiokkaasta muotioikeus-liitännäisestä yliopistossa tai ylemmän korkeakoulututkinnon osana laaditusta tutkielmasta tai vastaavasta lopputyöstä/opinnäytetyöstä. Hakemus stipendin myöntämiseksi tulee osoittaa yhdistyksen hallitukselle. Vuonna 2023 stipendin hakuaika on 21.2.–31.10. Vuoden 2023 stipendihaussa otetaan huomioon suomeksi tai englanniksi laaditut tutkielmat, jotka ovat valmistuneet ja jotka on arvosteltu aikavälillä 1.11.2022 – 31.10.2023.

Hakuohjeet

Stipendin hakeminen tapahtuu kirjallisesti vapaamuotoisella hakemuksella. Hakemuksesta tulee käydä ilmi tutkielman otsikko, tutkielman tekijä ja hakijan yhteystiedot, sekä tutkimuksen liitännäisyys muotioikeuteen. Hakemukseen tulee liittää kopio tutkielmasta sekä yliopiston/korkeakoulun siitä antamasta arvostelusta. Hakemus ja liitemateriaalit tulee toimittaa sähköpostitse osoitteeseen muotioikeus@gmail.com viimeistään hakuajan viimeisenä päivänä klo 23.59.

Stipendiä voi hakea tutkielman tehnyt henkilö itse tai häntä voi ehdottaa stipendinsaajaksi esimerkiksi tiedekunnan edustaja, kollega tai muu tutkielmaan perehtynyt henkilö. Jos hakijana on muu kuin tutkielman tekijä, hakemuksessa tulee esittää myös selvitys tutkielman tekijän antamasta suostumuksesta hakemiselle ja tutkielman tekijän yhteystiedot.

Stipendinsaaja(t) julkistetaan yhdistyksen syyskokouksessa marras-joulukuussa 2023.

SÄÄNNÖT

Muotioikeuden yhdistys ry tukee ja edistää muoti- ja design-alaan liittyvää juridista tutkimusta. Tavoitteen edistämiseksi yhdistys myöntää vuosittain yhden tai useamman stipendin.

1. Stipendien myöntämisestä päättää yhdistyksen hallitus.
2. Stipendin voi saada vain kerran kalenterivuodessa. Hallitus voi halutessaan myöntää useampia stipendejä, mikäli tälle on hyviä perusteita. Mikäli hallitus katsoo, että yhdistyksen tavoitteet huomioon ottaen sopivia stipendihakemuksia ei ole saapunut, voidaan stipendi jättää kokonaan myöntämättä. Mikäli kalenterivuoden aikana ei myönnetä yhtään stipendiä, voidaan ylijääneet stipendivarat lisätä seuraavana vuonna jaettaviin stipendivaroihin.
3. Stipendiä haetaan kirjallisesti yhdistyksen hallitukselta sähköpostitse. Kirjallinen hakemus on toimitettava yhdistyksen kotisivuilla www.fashionlaw.fi ja mahdollisissa muissa viestintäkanavissa ilmoitettavaan hakupäivään mennessä. Hakemus ja liitemateriaalit tulee toimittaa sähköpostitse osoitteeseen muotioikeus@gmail.com.
4. Stipendihakemuksesta tulee käydä ilmi hakijan nimi, yhteystiedot sekä tarvittava selvitys tutkimuksen sisällöstä. Hakijan ei tarvitse olla yhdistyksen jäsen.
5. Tutkimuksen tulee liittyä muotioikeuteen. Vaaditun liitännäisyyden tulee selvitä hakemuksesta. Valintaa puoltavina tekijöinä voidaan ottaa huomioon muun muassa aiheen ajankohtaisuutta, yleistä kiinnostavuutta, muoti- ja design-alan kohdistuvaa kehittävää vaikutusta, innovatiivisuutta sekä hyödyllisyyttä yhdistyksen jäsenistön kannalta.
6. Tutkimuksen tulee olla valmis hakemusta jätettäessä. Opinnäytetyön tai muun tutkimuksen tulee olla myös arvosteltu hakemusta jätettäessä. Arvostelu on liitettävä hakemukseen. Stipendiä tulee hakea vähintään kahden (2) vuoden kuluessa tutkimuksen valmistumisesta.
7. Stipendin saaja julkaistaan yhdistyksen kotisivuilla. Stipendi luovutetaan syyskokouksen yhteydessä. Saajan toivotaan pitävän tutkielmansa aiheesta lyhyen alustuksen yhdistyksen jäsentilaisuudessa erikseen sovittavalla tavalla.

 

The Finnish Fashion Law Association’s call for applications of scholarship

The Finnish Fashion Law Association annually grants one or more scholarship(s) for an excellent fashion law related master’s- or bachelor’s thesis or an equivalent final assignment. The application for granting a scholarship shall be addressed to the board of the association. The application period for the year 2023 is 21 February – 31 October.  Any theses written in Finnish or English that have been submitted and graded between 1 November 2022 and 31 October 2023 will be taken into account by the Association when deciding on the grant in 2023.

 How to apply

Application for the scholarship shall be in writing and free of form. The application shall include information about the thesis’ topic, the author, the contact information of the applicant and how the thesis is related to fashion law. A copy of the thesis in question and its review by the university/college shall be annexed to the application. The application and its appendices need to be sent via email to muotioikeus@gmail.com on the last day of the application period at 23:59 at the latest.

The scholarship can be applied by the author of the thesis or the author can be suggested as a receiver of the scholarship by e.g. a representative of the faculty where the thesis has been written, a colleague or another person who is familiar with the thesis in question. If the person filing the application is not the author of the thesis, she or he needs to present the author’s consent to the application and the contact information of the author.

 The recipient of the scholarship shall be announced in the association’s general meeting in November / December 2023.

SCHOLARSHIP RULES

The Finnish Fashion Law Association supports and promotes fashion and design related legal research. In order to fulfil this purpose, the association grants annually one or more scholarship. 

1. The board of the association shall decide about granting of the scholarships. 

1. The scholarship can be received only once in a calendar year. The board finds good justifications for it, it can grant more than one scholarship. If the board sees that, taking into account the purpose of the association, there are no suitable applications, it can refrain from granting of the scholarship. In the event of not granting a single scholarship during a calendar year, the remaining scholarship funds shall be added to the scholarship funds that are distributed the following year. 

1. The scholarship shall be applied in writing from the board of the association by email. The application shall be sent prior to the deadline announced in the association’s website www.fashionlaw.fi and potential other communication channels. The application and its appendices shall be sent via email to muotioikeus@gmail.com. 

1. The scholarship application shall include the applicant’s name, contact information and sufficient clarification about the content of the research. The applicant does not need to be a member of the association. 

1. The research needs to be related to fashion law. The connection shall be turned out in in the application. The research’s topicality, general remarkability, promoting effect on the fashion and design industries, innovativeness and general worthwhileness from the association’s members’ perspective can be positive factors when the board is evaluating the thesis. 

1. The thesis needs to be submitted and reviewed when the application is submitted. The review of the thesis shall be annexed to the application. The scholarship shall be applied within two (2) years from submitting of the thesis. 

1. The recipient of the scholarship shall be announced on the association’s website. The scholarship shall be granted when the association holds its general meeting. The association wishes the recipient to give a brief presentation about the research in question in the association’s meeting that is agreed on separately with the recipient.
